With reference to report No.300 of 24th October. 1st Annexure.
I have the honour in the annexure to send you a further account of the conditions of trade matters regarding the English measures for Insurance.
If one thinks what great amounts of money have flowedt. into English Insurance Companies from German sources during the last fifty years and have thereby helped the English national prosperity, it appears to me suitable to point out to German Insurance businesses the wide field of work that lies open to them in the East from Singapore to Vladivostock, in Japan, the Philippines and the Dutch possessions.
The Imperial Charge d'Affaires in Pekin, as well as
the Imperial Consulates in Hankow, Tientsin and Canton have received copies of this report.
